Oh this is an extraordinary nursery! We just stared and stared… and stared at all the lovely photos the incredibly creative Joneses have put together for their baby boy Dominic. It’s one of those rare occurrences – the kind we love experiencing – when one of our cribs finds itself not only a source of inspiration, but also in a nursery that is beyond perfect for its design and style.
So it is that the évolur Parker finds itself in this white, navy, grey and orange wonderland that looks like a Bridget Riley painting come to vibrant and sparkling life.
The central piece in this nursery is the Parker crib and the beautiful, hand-painted wall that the Joneses painted themselves as it’s backdrop. Over the crib is spelled Dominic’s name in a semi-formal font. A Parker tall chest and a changing station occupy the spaces to the right and left. The adjacent wall features a window and the opposite wall houses a glider.
The theme and décor of this room are what make it truly a work of art. The color scheme is a perfectly balanced white, navy, grey and orange for a bit of ‘pop’.
Animal decals and plain color areas (grey glider, navy-white area rug) are offset by geometric patterns of the furnishings – broad-striped curtains, lock-square patterned baby mattress and clean blocks of color in the form of little storage bins that fit snugly in the changing station.
A little whimsy in the form of a plush tiger by the window adds interest. Other accessories include wall shelves with books, a night lamp and a few toys and knick-knacks. And tying all of the room together is the nay-white area rug.
Tijana Jones says her little lad was extremely active during her pregnancy – he’s the Joneses’ third born – and even a bad virus attack could not keep him from being rather vigorous. Well, now, in his marvellously cheerful, happy nursery, we are pretty sure he’s being a real handful.
Good luck mom and dad. Good luck little Dominic. Lots of love from évolur.

A couple of weeks ago, we posted a snapshot of Brianne Davis with her baby son on our blog. (You can check it out here). As you know, the gorgeous actress with husband Mark Gantt chose the évolur Santa Fe for their baby boy Davis Nolan’s imagination-encouraging nursery in dreamy dark blues and greys. Says Brianne in an interview with People Magazine:
“We wanted to create a lovely grown-up space for Davis to grow into. We filled his room with animals and positive quotes, and want to teach him compassion for animals and the world.”
“We love the Evolur furniture. We chose the Santa Fe line because it had a masculine quality and the color was a perfect fit for our vision for Davis’ room. “
Television personality, correspondent, host, spokesperson and blogger Ali Fedotowsky is expecting her second baby – a boy – in May. The charming Bachelorette contestant was featured in Hollywood Moms of US Magazine‘s May edition. Ali speaks about her pregnancy and of her soon-to-arrive baby boy’s nursery.
Designer Veronica Velencia — “We trusted her completely!” raves The Bachelorette season six lead — designed the modern room, complete with changing tables, poufs, wallpaper and rug. The crib is an évolur Parker in winter white as is one double dresser. The other item is a évolur Napoli hutch/double dresser combination in storm grey.
Just when we thought that we had covered everything style and theme possible with our Aurora Princess Nursery Collections, along comes another one to make us sit up with popping eyes and dropping jaws.
But we suspect mom Michelle Gill was going for that! 😉
“We had trouble having our oldest daughter (Makenna, 3) so when we finally found out we were expecting we decided she needed the most magical princess room in all the land. Fast forward 3 years to our surprise we found out we were having another baby girl. Emma Rose arrived a month early and 6 days before I turned 40. So, again since another little miracle was coming to join us we needed to come up with another princess room with different a color scheme.” Says she of Emma Rose’s nursery.
Baby Emma Rose’s Aurora Nursery is a magnificently eclectic mix of fairy-tale and modern elements.
This nursery is neither too large nor too small and it’s a symphony in lavender and silver. The walls sport a warm lavender that works as a lovely backdrop for Aurora’s Pearly Akoya Grey finish. The furniture pieces in this room are placed adjacent to each other – all in neat semi-circle.
The crib is the focal point of this room. And with good reason. A beautiful crown-topped canopy flows down against the headboard. A pretty lavender chaise occupies the space beneath Emma’s name. The dresser sits against a lavender-curtained window. Emma’s name in florals occupies the wall on the left of the crib and large ivory florals cover the wall on the right. A pretty lavender chaise sits conveniently next to the crib on the left. A grey shag carpet occupies the space in front of the crib. The Aurora tall chest sits against the wall opposite the crib. The crib bedding is – of course – lavender and ivory. A pretty baby mobile has been hooked up to the side.
The accessories in this nursery are of varying themes of lavender, ivory, silver and a touch of crystal. Chandelier, lamps, soft toys and a mannequin with a princess frock are placed strategically about the room. Completing this look is Baby Emma Rose’s name in an ivory frame on a lavender background. But of course!
